ABOUT ME // London Filmmaker & Videographer

Hello, I'm Kiosa Sukami. I'm an award-nominated writer/director and self-shooting filmmaker born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, currently based in London, UK.

Since graduating from the Bournemouth Film School (Arts University of Bournemouth), I've worked on a variety of media platforms from advertising, editorials, corporate, artist branding, animation, music videos and film.

A lot of my corporate  and commercial work centres around helping brands like Siemens, Lloyds Bank and EY authentically tell stories that verse social platforms to resonate with audiences. I approach every project with a wish to maximise a clients' budget and deliver films that are tailor fit for the platform they're shown on.

When it comes to working in a confined studio space, I'm not afraid to get stuck in. I have experience as a freelance self-shooter, lighting studio spaces (including white and green screen) and working on ITV shows like Tonight. I regularly work with a variety of lighting kit including KinoFlos, ARRI (tungsten & HMIs) and Dedos. Depending on the requirements, I can work solo, with my own camera assistant or with gaffers.

My 2016 debut Short Film "LONGFIELD DRIVE" has been selected to screen at festivals such as the London Short Film Festival, Plymouth Film Festival & Festival du Cinéma Européen and had it's official online premiere via the UK's leading platform for urban entertainment GRM Daily in 2017 as well as Million Youth Media, one of the fastest growing independent youth-platforms for film in the UK where it achieved more than 20,000 views.

My follow-up short film "YOLK", released in 2020, has been selected to screen at BAFTA accredited festivals British Urban Film Festival and Bolton Film Festival. I am now in post-production of my next short "PYRAMID", slated for release in 2021.
